Browse the marketplace
Marketplace is where published notes appear. Use it to search, filter and compare listings. Committing cash is a separate step — see Investing in a note.
Before you start
Open Marketplace from the sidebar. During later review this item may unlock so you can look at listings. You cannot commit until the account is approved and you have made a first successful deposit. You also need enough available cash.
You can also open Marketplace from Invest now in the sidebar footer, or from the Dashboard strip Live on the marketplace by selecting See all notes.
Figures at the top
The strip shows:
- Available to invest — available cash you can commit
- Open notes — how many listings are currently open for funding
- Rate range — the advertised rates on those open notes
- Tenure range — the listed tenures on those open notes
Select Deposit on that strip to add cash without leaving Marketplace. See Add cash to your account.
Featured notes
If CashSouk has highlighted notes, they appear first under Featured as Highlighted notes still open for funding.
A featured card may show a tag such as Closing soon, Highest rate, Top grade, New listing, or Featured.
Search and filters below do not hide the Featured strip. When a search or filter is active, matching featured notes also appear in the list so you can still find them.
Find and compare notes
The list heading is All open notes by default. The Listing filter starts on Open for funding. If you change that filter, the heading becomes All notes.
Search by purpose, note reference, industry, or product.
Sort with Highest rate (the default), Shortest tenure, Best grade, or Closing soon. Best grade puts stronger published grades first (SME-1 before SME-10).
Switch the view between List (the default) and Cards. List is the comparison table: Note, Rate, Tenure, Grade, Funding, and Action. Cards show one listing per card. On a narrow screen, List still stacks each note as a block.
Select Filters to narrow by:
- Listing — Open for funding, Funded, Not funded, or All listings
- Grade — the published MARC SME grade (SME-1 to SME-10), or Any
- Tenure — Up to 60 days, 61 – 120 days, or 121+ days
- Profit — Below 14%, 14% – 15%, or Above 15% (advertised annualised rate)
- Sector — industries currently on the marketplace
The count under the toolbar shows how many notes match. With filters on, it reads as a subset, for example 3 of 12 notes. Select Clear to reset search and filters.
If nothing is listed, you will see No notes on the marketplace. If filters hide everything, you will see No matching notes with Clear filters.
Read a listing
Each listing leads with the financing purpose. Under that you may see the contract purpose, then a line with the NOTE- reference, product and industry. The published Grade sits on the listing.
The two large figures are the advertised rate (Up to or Rate p.a.) and the Tenure. The rate is the annualised gross rate before the service fee if the note runs its full tenure. It is not a promise of what you will receive.
The funding bar shows how much of the target is funded and the minimum percentage needed for funding to succeed. Open listings also show how much is still open and copy such as 3 days left to invest. A line such as RM … committed by 2 investors shows current commitments.
Closed listings can show a Funded or Funding failed badge. The action button then reads Closed, Not funded, or Fully allocated instead of Invest.
Select the note title to open the note page. Select View prospectus to read the disclosure. Select Invest only when you are ready to commit — see Investing in a note.
Common questions
Why do Featured notes still show after I filter?
The Featured strip stays above the filters. Matching featured notes are also added to the filtered list so a search can still find them.
I can open Marketplace. Why is Invest unavailable?
Browsing can unlock before investing. Invest and Invest now wait until the account is approved. You also need a first successful deposit and enough available cash. A listing that is fully allocated, closed, or not funded cannot be invested in.
What does Grade mean?
Grade is the published MARC SME risk grade on that note, shown as SME-1 through SME-10. Lower numbers are stronger. See How issuer risk is graded.
Why is Marketplace empty?
There may be no published notes at the moment. If you applied filters, select Clear or Clear filters. Quote a NOTE- reference if you expected a specific listing.
Can I compare notes side by side?
Yes. Keep the view on List. Switch to Cards if you prefer one listing per card.
