Investor notifications

CashSouk can alert you in the portal bell and, for some events, by email. The only marketing alert you can turn on or off yourself is under Marketing emails.

Where alerts appear

Open the bell in the Investor Portal, or select View all notifications. Account-wide notices and login or security messages use the Account Email shown under My account. For a company investor, messages meant for a named director, shareholder or signer use that person's Person Email in Organisation > People & Access. Changing Person Email does not change the address used to sign in.

The CashSouk team can adjust which system alerts also send email. The lists below match the current defaults.

Onboarding

These arrive in the portal and by email:

  • Onboarding Completed — the account is approved. You can invest after your first successful deposit.
  • Onboarding Application Rejected — onboarding was not approved.
  • Action Required: Complete Director/Shareholder Onboarding — a company director or shareholder still needs to finish verification. Open Organisation > People.

Director and shareholder verification links are sent to that person's Person Email.

Deposits and withdrawals

These currently appear in the portal only (no matching email by default):

  • Deposit Successful — cash has been credited.
  • Deposit Verification Failed — the deposit could not be verified and will be returned.
  • Refund Started and Refund Completed — a deposit refund has begun or finished.
  • Withdrawal Submitted — your cash withdrawal request has been received.
  • Withdrawal Completed — the cash withdrawal has been paid.

Watch Portfolio > Transactions for statuses such as Verifying, Needs review, and Awaiting approval.

Investment lifecycle

These currently go to the portal and by email, except Investment Committed, which is portal-only by default:

  • Investment Committed — your amount is reserved on the note.
  • Listing deadline extended — CashSouk moved the listing close later. Your commitment stays in place.
  • Commitment released — the listing did not complete funding and reserved cash is back in available cash.
  • Investment is active — funding finished and the note has been activated.
  • Repayment Received — a repayment was recorded.
  • Settlement Posted — settlement has been posted for the note.
  • Note late — grace has ended on the note.
  • Note in Arrears — the note is in arrears. CashSouk will update you as servicing continues. This is not a recovery promise.
  • Your Investment Is in Default — the note has been marked as default. Check the position for updates.
  • Withdrawal Submitted to Trustee — a payout instruction for the note has been sent to the trustee (the independent party instructed to make relevant payouts). This is separate from withdrawing cash to your bank.

See If an issuer pays late or defaults for what overdue, late, arrears and default mean on your investment.

Account and system

  • Password Changed — always sent in the portal and to the Account Email when the account password changes. This cannot be switched off.
  • New Product Alert — the only row under My account > Marketing emails. The matching in-app and email title is New Investment Opportunity. Use the In-app and Email switches on that row.
  • General announcements from CashSouk may appear in the portal and by email when the team sends them. They are not listed under Marketing emails.

Invitation emails, signing links, person-specific one-time codes and verification links are sent separately. For company people, they use Person Email unless the invitation restores an existing linked account, in which case it uses Account Email. They are not controlled from Marketing emails.

Common questions

Can I turn off investment or deposit emails?

Not from the Investor Portal. Only the New Product Alert row under Marketing emails has In-app and Email switches. Other alerts follow CashSouk’s current delivery settings.

I confirmed an investment but received no email

Investment Committed is in-app by default. Check the bell and the position under Portfolio.

Where do I change marketing alerts?

Open My account, then Marketing emails.

Who do I contact if an alert looks wrong?

Use the portal chat launcher or Help Center. Quote NOTE-, WDL-, or other references shown in the portal. See How to get help.
