Investor onboarding: set up your account
Set up your CashSouk investor account, complete verification, make a first deposit, and finish Complete your profile (including Date of Birth) before you can invest.
Before you start
You need a valid email address and an authenticator app. Two-factor authentication is required for every account and cannot be turned off. Change your password later under My account. You cannot change the email address in the portal.
CashSouk does not charge an onboarding fee for investors.
Choose Personal or Company
On Choose Account Type, select how you will invest.
- Personal Account — invest as an individual.
- Company Account — invest as a business. Enter the Company Name, then select Create Company Account.
Confirm the choice and continue. You then accept the legal documents.
Accept the legal documents
The stepper shows User Agreement, then Onboarding, Approval, and Deposit. There is no onboarding-fee step.
On Legal documents, open each required document, confirm you accept it, and select Accept and Continue. The organisation owner must accept these documents before onboarding can continue.
If legal documents change later, the organisation owner reviews Updated legal documents before a new investment. The existing account stays active. See When legal documents are updated.
Complete eKYC or eKYB
The Onboarding step sends you to CashSouk’s verification partner.
- Personal accounts complete Personal verification (eKYC).
- Company accounts complete Company verification (eKYB).
Finish every screen the partner shows, then return to the Investor Portal.
Awaiting Approval
After verification, the dashboard shows Awaiting Approval while the CashSouk team reviews your account. You will be notified when the review finishes. Approval is not guaranteed and timing is not fixed.
First deposit
When the account is approved, complete Make Your First Deposit on the dashboard. Select Continue to FPX. Checkout opens CashSouk's payment gateway for Malaysian online banking (FPX). The checkout window is branded by the gateway provider (currently Curlec / Razorpay).
The first successful deposit unlocks the cash you need to invest. See Add cash to your account for limits and the own-name rule. A deposit alone does not skip the profile checklist below.

Ready to invest checklist
Confirm invest stays blocked until all of these are true:
- The CashSouk team has approved the account.
- Your first deposit is successfully credited (Deposit successful), not still Verifying or Needs review.
- Complete your profile is finished, including Date of Birth on a personal account. On Organisation > Profile > Personal Details, select Edit, enter Date of Birth, then save. Company accounts must finish the listed company, people, address and contact items.
- On a company account, required directors and shareholders under People & Access have finished their checks.
The banner copy is Complete the remaining profile information before placing an investment. If you confirm an investment while items remain, the portal shows Complete your Profile before placing an investment. and opens Organisation with completeness expanded (or People & Access when people are the gap).
Company people after approval
On a Company Account, directors and shareholders complete their own checks from links sent under Organisation > People & Access. Those links are sent after the company account is approved. Use Go to Profile on the dashboard alert if someone still needs to finish. See Team members and organisation roles.
If the account is rejected
If onboarding is not approved, the portal shows Account has been rejected. Onboarding does not continue. Contact the CashSouk team from the portal chat launcher or Help Center and quote any reference shown on screen.
What you will see
Until verification is finished, most menu items stay locked. While the account is under review you can open Dashboard and Activity. During later review, Marketplace, Portfolio, Organisation, and My account may unlock so you can browse listings or finish People & Access and banking details. Investing stays locked until the account is approved. Help stays available throughout.
After approval the full menu unlocks. You still need a first successful deposit and a complete profile before a commitment will go through.
CashSouk sets Account class as Retail or Sophisticated under Investor Classification on Organisation. Company accounts are shown as Sophisticated.
Common questions
Do I pay to open an investor account?
No. Investors do not pay an onboarding fee.
Can I have both a personal and a company account?
Yes. You can add a Company Account as well as a Personal Account and switch between organisations in the sidebar.
Does an incomplete profile stop me investing?
Yes. Approval and a first deposit are not enough if Date of Birth or other completeness items are still missing. Finish Complete your profile first.
When can I invest?
After approval, a successfully credited first deposit, and a complete profile (including Date of Birth on a personal account).
